We were really excited to try these but quickly disappointed by the finish around the edges. The front and back of all them are polished and look fab. They are all thick metal and have a nice weight to them, with design being long and elegant they would have made for really nice cutlery.Sadly, the edges don’t seem to have been finished fully, least not polished. All the items were sharp at the bottom end of the handles, around the sides near the fork and spoon top ends were unfinished. The lip of the spoon was sharp, while not enough to cut myself with it. It really did not feel nice while trying to use it. Just buffing the edges off would have solved this. But as they stand, they’re barely usable.
This is a very decent everyday cutlery set- not necessarily the Sunday finest, but when like us you’ve been using the same mishmash of hand-me-downs and leftovers from other sets for a long time, this definitely feels like a step up. The stainless steel is very smart and shiny, and the shape of them has an elegance to it that does manage to be semi-posh. I particularly like the size of the spoon, which works really well as a cereal spoon.I don’t think it’s a perfect set, but for the current price tag of only thirteen quid, I think it still warrants a five star rating. If I were being very critical I’d maybe say that they aren’t the best balanced sets of cutlery I’ve ever used, with the balance point in very different positions between the different cutlery types, something you end up being subconsciously aware of as you use them. There’s also the way that the handle of the knife is so much thicker than the other handles that it ends up looking like it belongs to a different set. While different handle widths for knives isn’t atypical, in this set it does look a bit extreme. It’s fairly nicely presented in a box, and potentially good as a gift set for somebody moving house, especially students. But unlike some gift sets, this one seems like a bit of a bargain for what’s included.
This is a good set of cutlery. It is very well finished, nicely boxed and does not feel cheap or flimsy. However, it is worth noting that they are only 18/0 stainless not 18/10, which means no nickel content. Chances are they will not prove to be quite as resilient as 18/10, but only time will tell on that one. Happy so far.
This is the perfect set to send with your child as she makes her way to University. A good design, and there's more than enough in here that she'll be able to entertain her friends, or more likely, only wash up every few days.
This is a good quality cutlery set. Shiny and feels sturdy. I especially checked the forks and the inner sides and these are definitely clear and shiny on all sides. The only con for me is the slightly smaller than usual size for the spoons. Those are dessert spoons as stated in the listing and accurate with the photos. Generally liked it and can recommend.
Strangely enough, I think these may be slightly oversized, at least in terms of their width to length ratio. Perhaps I'm just used to spoons and forks that are more narrow, but I found these a bit less comfortable to use - and I certainly looked less graceful while eating. That said, they are very sturdy and easy to clean, and I like having a full set, as pieces just inevitably end up missing over time. A fine, functional set of cutlery, but nothing to write home about.
These remind me so much of hotel cutlery, not too lightweight but weighty enough to feel expensive without feeling achy in your hand. They are shiny, not too sharp, and look and feel like a luxury item. I wish that the butter knife was a tad sharp (or had a bit of roughness to it) as it's too much on the dull side, but aside from that little thing, they are a winner in my eyes. Would recommend!
This is a medium weight set of cuttlery, the pieces all feel well balanced in my hand. Excluding the knives, the other pieces are very slightly roughly finished in places, if I hadn't been examining them closely I most likely wouldn't have noticed, so they aren't exactly rough, it's maybe just that the knives are more rounded in style. The set does look nice, and stylish when laid out on the table, and the knives cut well, which is the most important aspect to me.They have washed well, with no tarnishing or any other ill effects, and are overall a really nice set, they are very good value for money, and I'm happy to recommend them.
This is a good, comprehensive set of cutlery and has pretty much all you need for daily use. They are kind of large - not crazy big, but maybe 10% bigger than the Ikea set I've had for years. Not a massive problem - it all still fits in my cutlery draw comfortably - but it took a few days to get used to it. The finish on everything is consistently good and they stand up to daily use very well. Great value considering what you get for your money.
As someone who enjoys hosting dinner parties and values high-quality dining essentials, I recently purchased the 16-Piece Cutlery Set. Here’s my honest review of this product.Firstly, the quality of the cutlery set is impressive. Made from premium stainless steel, each piece has a solid, weighty feel that signifies durability and quality. The stainless steel composition ensures that the cutlery is resistant to rust and stains, making it suitable for everyday use and special occasions alike. The polished finish gives the flatware a sleek, modern look that complements any table setting. The design of the Henley cutlery set is both elegant and practical. The handles are ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in the hand, providing a good grip and balance. This makes eating a more enjoyable experience, whether you’re having a casual meal or a formal dinner. The knives are sharp and cut through food with ease, while the forks and spoons are well-sized and functional for various dishes. One of the standout features of this set is its versatility. The inclusion of both table forks and dessert spoons, along with teaspoons and table knives, covers all the basic needs for a complete dining experience. This makes the set ideal for both small families and larger gatherings. I found that having a matched set of cutlery added a cohesive and polished look to my dinner table, which my guests appreciated.Cleaning and maintaining the cutlery set is straightforward. The stainless steel material is dishwasher safe, which is a huge convenience. After several washes, the cutlery has maintained its shine and shows no signs of wear or tarnish. This durability is essential for anyone looking to invest in a long-lasting flatware set. However, a minor downside is that the 18/0 stainless steel, while durable, does not contain nickel, which can mean it’s slightly less resistant to rust than higher-grade stainless steel with nickel content. This hasn’t been an issue for me so far, but it’s something to consider for those who prioritise maximum rust resistance.Overall, the 16-Piece Cutlery Set is an excellent addition to any dining collection. Its combination of quality, design, and functionality makes it a standout choice for anyone looking to enhance their dining experience. Whether for everyday use or special occasions, this cutlery set delivers on both style and performance, making it a worthwhile investment for any household.
The best in the world
Great
Nice cutlery good price good value.
Good set doesn't look cheap ..
Good quality well made would highly recommend
Lovely product, easy to handle
These pieces of cutlery are slightly bigger than the ones I previously owned, and my old set were already considered on the bigger side. For that reason, if you're a smaller person, or have smaller hands (or you have children that would use these), these probably aren't the best for you. Thankfully I have bigger hands and these are fine for me.I actually like the fact that these are bigger though, they feel more comfortable in my hands and it's slightly easier to cut food or pick food up.Overall I think this is the perfect cutlery set if you have bigger hands, they are very well made and (in my opinion) reasonably priced for 4 full sets of cutlery. There should definitely be an option to get more sets though, 4 is the perfect amount for me but someone might want more sets.
I have a very strong opinion on forks and knifes. These have great weight to them while being the perfect shape. No weird textures and baby spoons are perfect size. very much approved.
Good quality cutlery, exactly as described, well pleased with them. Strong, not bendy as with cheaper ones , knife has serated edge so good chops, steaks etc. They wash up well, no staining. Recommend
