Would be great, but the handle is awful

I was so looking forward to this wok with its ceramic coatings, nice lid and large interior space for cooking. The size of this wok does not disappoint and the ceramic coating is lovely. BUT... bearing in mind the size of this wok and the amount it can hold, moving it off the hob with that handle!! Nope. Ridiculous. The stainless steel main handle is flat, thin and the edges feel like they are digging in. Seriously uncomfortable and I have no confidence in the thing at all. It's a large wok, why would it not have a suitable handle that is comfortable and practical to use! Yes it looks very pretty, but my goodness me... Fill this with hot food and that handle becomes a menace! But. I have to give it 3 stars as the wok itself is rather lovely. Maybe I'll whittle a handle for it some point.

Looks good but not recommended for induction hobs

This wok is a good size great for the stir fry, however there are 2 issues making it less desirable. First, the handle is a bit too slim for handling the wok which is a bit heavy, so tossing around to show culinary skills is not a good idea.Secondly, have tried using this with induction hob, although it does work it seems to take 3x longer to heat up and reach the required temperature. This is compared with other existing frying pans, maybe the material is too thick hence is taking much longer to heat up, I'm not sure. But if using traditional gas stove it seems to work fine.

Bad handle

For a wok, this didn't disappoint in terms of cooking ability. First off, I absolutely love the copper finish - it really adds a sense of value. The wok itself distributes heat about as evenly as possible from all my testing with cooking different things in this, no disappointment there. The disappointment with this wok comes from the glaringly uncomfortable handle. Firstly it's full metal, so that alone makes it slightly uncomfortable to hold (especially if there's heavier food in it). But on top of that, it's thin and not circular, so it really digs into your hand when you pick it up.Personally, I do love the wok but the handle really takes away from it - if this had a plastic or wood cover it would be a perfect product all day long.

The handle is just not comfortable

As with all products like this, it does exactly what you would expect it to do. The colour is quite pleasing, being a copper colour, and the lid is nice and sturdy with a good handle. My big issue with this is that the handle is not comfortable to hold, and when you have a kilo of food in it, it actually digs into your hand as you carry it to serve. The handle on the glass lid is more substantial than the main handle. It is as if they designed a lovely wok, a nice glass lid and then put the thinnest, cheapest handle on you can imagine.I am disappointed, as in every other way it is great.Guys, you need to put a more substantial handle on this - look at the Ninja and Tefal pans - we have both of those too, and they have got it right.

Handle not comfortable for the weight, but well made

Innovacook Copper Ceramic WokDecent sized flat bottomed wok with glass lid.Things to consider- weight with lid is ~1.7kg so it is solid- the base has a flat area of ~16cm in diameter, whilst the rim is ~31cm- copper orange colour is attractive outside, but the ceramic inner layer feels thin- the aluminum handle is securely attached by rivets, but does get hot and isn't well shaped - it digs into your hands- works well enoughOverall - the uncomfortable (& hot) handle for the heavy weight is the main issue - 4 stars.

Heavy but can cook quite a lot

When I first received the wok with it's glass lid, I noticed its cool copper-style appearance but it's not actually made of copper, but rather features a copper ceramic coating. The wok is quite durable thanks to its double-layer coating, which helps prevent food from sticking but you have to make sure you heat it properly to enable go non stick. It's good how you can use it on various cooking hobs, including gas and electric. On my electric it heats up evenly and retains heat well. One downside I noticed is that the wok is quite heavy especially when tossing ingredients. I also felt that the handle tends to get a little hot during prolonged cooking sessions, so I recommend using oven mitts or a towel to avoid burns.

Innovacook Copper Coloured Ceramic Wok

This is a decent quality Wok. I do though have 2 issues with it. When ordering this I did think it was a Copper Wok rather than just a Copper coloured wok, I find the heading a little misleading. Secondly though, and my main gripe is the handle, I just really don’t like it, I find it extremely uncomfortable to hold, in the interest of balance though my partner likes it, she however, is wrong! The handle is a flat piece of metal that has had a curve added to it, I find it digs into my hand (even when empty) and makes it really uncomfortable to lift and move around. Usually with a heavy pan, that will become even heavier when in use there is a far more ergonomic handle.Having raised those initial points though it is a decent wok, it performs really well and appears to be very well made. We seasoned this prior to first use and it is showing no signs of wear so far after several uses.I should add that it is supplied with a robust glass lid that fits nicely.Overall I can recommend this wok in the main but I have to remove 2 stars for such a terrible handle

Solid and looks great.

First thing that struck me was its beautiful aspect. The silver and copper colour combination simply looks amazing and it is a breath of fresh air amongst my other dull pots and pans.Although it is still a wok as its bottom makes direct contact with the flame on a reduced area compared to the overall size, it's edges are lower than the traditional wok and in my opinion it's a combination between a large pan and a wok.The lid fits very well thus keeping the juices in when needed. It has a non-stick ceramic coating which allows for cooking with minimum amount of fat without sticking. The same non-stick coating helps with washing as it makes it easy to wipe it clean and wash afterwards. The downside for me is the handle which I find it to be a bit too flat and not very rounded round the edges, and because of this I feel like it is digging into my hand when I have to hold it with a stronger grip.Having a second handle on the opposite side makes things easier as I can hold it with two hands if necessary.

Very non-stick but awful handle

This pan has some great features, but also some significant drawbacks.Good points: The pan is huge. You could easily cook a meal (stir-fry, meat in sauce etc.) for 4 in it. The non-stick is super effective, I cooked a curry in it and the sauce was actively repelled by the surface of the pan which also meant none was left behind and wasted when serving. It coped well with high heat on its first use and didn’t warp or bow as some pans do. The non-stick surface feels really durable. It’s great that it comes with a lid, which is glass so you can keep an eye on what’s cooking without taking it on and off all the time. Not so good points: Firstly, it isn’t a copper pan as per the description. It’s copper coloured. It’s really quite heavy for an aluminium pan. I’m not keen on the rivets; I’ve had pans with these before and they eventually become a real pain to get properly clean. I absolutely hate the handle. It’s just a flat piece of metal which is so uncomfortable to use and it’s downright impossible to lift the pan when there’s anything in it, unless you use the extra handle on the other side, but this gets hot during use so you’ll need oven gloves. It was really cumbersome and I just really didn’t enjoy using it at all.If you’re happy to leave the pan on the hob without lifting it, this is fine, but if you want a pan you can move around, pour from etc. then this really isn’t it.

Excellent non stick wok

Great non stick wok, main criticism is the metal handle which can get hot and is not comfortable when lifting a full heavy wok of the heat

Attractive, best for low-temperature frying.

Nice looking pan, things cook well in it. A little bit heavy but there are two handles. It is starting to wear after a few months, but not too bad. Not suitable for high-temperature frying (it will do it but things burn on).
